May 6, 2018 – This month, the Tribune-Democrat’s Health Matters article features another topic that is important to the health of our communities. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, “More than 10 times as many U.S. citizens have died prematurely from cigarette smoking than have died in all the wars fought by the United States.” The 1889 Jefferson Center for Population Health is working to help stop tobacco use to improve the health of our communities.
